Today, I want to share with you the inspiring journey behind one of our community’s greatest assets, the Cypress Baptist Church 3:16 Fieldhouse. In our latest podcast episode, I had the privilege of sitting down with Brian Loe, the Director of this incredible facility, to discuss the remarkable impact it’s having on our community.
A Dream Realized
The idea for the 3:16 Fieldhouse was born out of a simple yet powerful desire to create a space where people of all ages could come together, stay active, and grow spiritually. The team at Cypress Baptist Church envisioned a place where sports and ministry intersect, fostering not only physical health but also community and spiritual well-being.
A Hub for Activity and Engagement
Walking into the 3:16 Fieldhouse, you’re immediately struck by the energy and enthusiasm that fills the air. From pickleball to basketball, the facility buzzes with activity. The Fieldhouse offers an impressive range of programs designed to cater to everyone, from seasoned athletes to those just looking to stay fit and have fun.
Brian shared with me that pickleball, in particular, has taken off in a big way. With courts available for open play and tournaments, it’s become a favorite among community members. And it’s not just about the game – it’s about the camaraderie and friendships that form on the court.
Leagues for All Ages
One of the most exciting aspects of the 3:16 Fieldhouse is its diverse leagues. Whether you’re interested in volleyball, flag football, or basketball, there’s something for everyone. The leagues are designed to give opportunities for both youth and adults to participate.
Brian spoke passionately about the importance of competition and sportsmanship. The leagues are not just about winning; they’re about learning valuable life lessons, building character, and learning about Jesus.
Looking Ahead: Exciting New Plans
The vision for the 3:16 Fieldhouse doesn’t stop here. Brian and his team have big plans for the future, including the introduction of an indoor soccer league. This addition will provide yet another avenue for community members to engage in healthy, fun, and competitive activities.
Join Us and Get Involved
One of the highlights of our conversation was learning about the upcoming pickleball tournament fundraiser. This event is not only a great opportunity to showcase your skills but also a chance to support the Fieldhouse and its mission. I encourage everyone to get involved – whether you’re playing, volunteering, or cheering from the sidelines.
